Management of posterior column tibial plateau fracture via a posterior approach

Background: Posterior tibial plateau fracture (PTPF) is a relatively uncommon injury. This kind of appears confusing on initial radiographs because the small displacement, so it special injury pattern. Aim and objectives: aim study was to evaluate safety efficacy via posterior approach in shearing fracture. Subjects methods: The prospective carried out Department Orthopaedic surgery, Al-azhar university Hospital Damietta. had been 24 patients. Results: there statistically significant difference between immediate post-operative reduction other after 6 weeks, 3 months 5 months. Conclusion: rare fractures. Our highlights importance which deemed unimportant past. results highlight fixation PTPF achieving an early satisfactory functional outcome.
